Shoujo anime and manga, typically aren't my thing, but Fruits Basket is something else. I watched it on a whim, and came out pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. This anime is available on the Netflix Instant service.
It's been long time coming, now it's finally here. The season 2 final of PTV.

Sega CD Nightmares #4 - Lunar
I never thought I would actually buy a single game so many times. If you go back to an older video where I first discovered that Lunar SS had 7 variants I was devastated and didn't even consider that I would get all the variants. Especially considering that each copy can fetch anywhere from as "low" as $30 all the way up to about $90 a piece. Depending on which variant you are after and who else might be bidding against you of course.
That's right, the two of us have joined forces to review Mass Effect 2,it's a colossal review that ends up a whopping 20 minutes long, so bring some chips and salsa and a sandwich ready, this is gonna be awhile. Enjoy!
Finally playing Final Fight 2!
Playing a crappy Nes game. Lets go and fight Satan and Engrish with kung fu and daggers.
Playing the game, to see if it deserves to be "rolfed"....
It's time for another review, and this time, it's a turn based rpg that has heavy emphasis on alchemy, but at it's heart this is an old school styled rpg.
Download the game here: http://www.supersmashland.com/
Shintai and friends get together and review Final Fantasy IX, check it out!

Anyone that knows me knows that my favorite time of the year is October. The entire month is a magical time where the weather is ideal, the trees get pretty, pumpkins are obtained through dubious means and jack-o-lanterns are carved beneath the Moon. All of this is crowned with the best holiday on the calendar Halloween. It's the only time you can proudly display your coffin on your front lawn, drive around in your hearse with out odd looks and go up to strangers demanding free candy while dressed up like Zombie Buddy Holly. Here's a list of five video games that will help you get into the Halloween spirit.
This week special co host Marugaru553 joins us to talk Tokyo Game Show, defeating enemies in lines and all the interesting gaming news. Shintai has an audio review for a movie tie in game and I bitch and moan about getting a device hooked to the internet and my book shelf storing all my consoles collapses. All this and more after the jump!
More samurai anime! This one being more recent. If you're a fan of the animation studio Bones, so if you're a fan of their other work like Fullmetal Alchemist and Darker than Black, give this movie a shot. Unlike the other anime they've done, this one has no fantasy elements.
The nice header might tell you where I am today. So while I am sitting here
The day started off waiting in a line. Exciting I know, but at least the big nerd next to me brought his 3DS and played some fighting game that had a partially nude and big breasted fighter.
The doors opened at 9am for press and pre-orders. So we hoarded ourselves through the gates and began hunting.
The size of the location this year was at least 2x bigger than last year! |
Hacking and slashing is fun, hacking and slashing in giant robots is even MORE fun!

No words needed to describe this.....cause I can't.
This is a review of slice of life type anime. This isn't usually my cup of tea personally, but even I found this anime to be surprisingly good and definitely worth checking out.
Nowadays video game sequels are more common place than they have ever been. Some are released on a yearly basis, and others take their sweet old time. However, more development time isn't always a good thing (Yes, I'm looking at you Duke Nukem). It's almost guaranteed these days that if a game sells well, then a franchise it will be. (Sorry Duke Nukem). There are several who snub at the notion of yearly releases, while others thrive in the predictability as if it's video game Metamucil. Personally, I have mixed feelings on the topic, and for some reason felt the need to rant about the subject for a while.
Only one part to this one. Enjoy.

It's time for some more badaassery with the second Vampire Hunter D film!
This edition I playthrough the 3 versions of Street Fighter 3.
I used the Dreamcast version of New Generation & 2nd Impact. Both versions can be found on the collection disc titled, Street Fighter 3 Double Impact (US/EU), Street Fighter 3 W Impact (JPN).
3rd Strike was played with the PS2 version. Which can be found on the Anniversary disc for the US, or by itself in JPN. 3rd strike only came out in EU on the xbox version of the Anniversary disc.
Enjoy guys. Click read full article to see videos.
Dark Messiah is a game that got off to…a little more than just a messy start. When it was first released, it was filled with bugs that got the game a rating of mediocre by most. And that’s understandable, the game should be released when it’s ready, not when it’s filled up the ass with graphical glitches ‘n such. And its reputation has been hampered even more by the pathetic port to the Xbox 360 that removes key aspects of the games combat and RPG elements. But Dark Messiah is far more than mediocre. It’s a wonderful action RPG with what I consider to be, the most immersing first person perspective ever.
My friend Andrew(Bosman) and I take a look at Grandia 2, a worthy sequel to the classic original.
Stepping away from what I normally talk about (video games and anime) in this video I compare two great films and see what's similiar, and what's different other than the blades and hand guns.

Moving to a big city can be a scary and lonely situation and millions of Urbanites shuffle through the streets on their own. For a lucky few that manage to find Mister or Miss Right there can be certain challenges that test the strength of the relationship. Thankfully game developers have shed some light on these grim realities that face millions of Urbanites on a daily basis and given us the tools to prepare for the challenges of city life and maintaining relationships.
On this weeks episode Retrokaiser looks at an early PS2 game that was panned by fans of the series. (I liked it though.)
Edit: Big cheers for Cendoo who sent this game to ACWAC Studios. :)
Review was recorded live: Feb 20th 2011. Full audio can be found on catcast 35.
This series isn't going to be like the others. It's more of a bunch of montage videos of varies moves and stuff.
Classify this under old but I just now connected these dots. I just finished up the game SW: Knights of the Old Republic and it was one hell of a ride. After taking a year or more off after getting halfway through the game I saw the main villain Lord Malak again and he reminded me of someone. Baron Underbheit from the Venture Bros! You have to admit this is a little much to just be a coincidence. Especially when you take a look at this second picture.
